What are the warnings and side effects of Actos ( Pioglitazone ) ?
Liver function may be monitored with blood tests, liver tests and medical evaluations at the start of treatment with Actos ( Pioglitazone ), every two months for the first year of treatment, and periodically thereafter.
Actos ( Pioglitazone ) may decrease the effectiveness of some birth control pills. While taking Actos ( Pioglitazone ) additional measures may be necessary to prevent pregnancy . If you develop a fever or an infection, experience a serious injury or require surgery contact your doctor. Illness or injury may cause a loss of blood sugar control and insulin. An adjustment of a current insulin dose may be required for a period of time.

Possible Side Effects:
